Today, since it was so nice, I traded these kicks for my sandals. It made me verrrry happy to think that summer is just around the corner, which means that swimming, tannning, vacationing, weddings, dance parties with Brynn, and watermelon consuming are also just around the corner. Pass it here Percy, I don't mind summer.

K, so I haven't updated in a while but it's just because nothing super exciting has happened recently. I go to school, go to work, hang out with jessica, and go to bed.

This movie swept the awards this year and I can't wait to see it! Em and I went to an Academy Awards party last night, so that made the Oscars wayyy more enjoyable to watch. Woo Hoo for movies.

Today at work I asked an older gentleman if I could help him. His response: "Wow. How can you even see over the counter, young lady?!" Story of my life. Everyone around us was crackin up...even me.

In other news, Mario Arredondo is back from his mission in Paraguay! It's been so fun talkin to him and hearing his stories from the past two years. When we were in high school he used to do the craziest things, like walk his invisible bike around school while wearing his helmet. ha.

best president's day. ever.

I heart President's Day. No school + no work = funky fresh in my book. Jess, Steph, and I saw Confessions of a Shopoholic {it was mine and Jessica's second time..it's that good}, went to the C-F-A, and made headbands. I am in love with making headbands. Mine look pretty hippy, but I couldn't be happier. Oh and Em and French Rye got back from St. George and brought me In-N-Out...seriously how could President's Day be any better.

Valentine's Day

1. I got a High School Musical Valentine with Zac Efron on it. Hott.

2. I made a million chocolate dipped strawberries at work...and maybe ate half. maybe.

3. I got beautiful yellow roses.

4. I went on a hot date with Jess and Stephanie. Carabas is suuuper delish.

5. I got my bridesmaid dress in the mail! Love it.

My roommates and I went on a date last night. We had a delicious dinner at Chick-Fil-A {Laura had never been...I was shocked} and then saw "He's Just Not That Into You." I loved it. If you haven't seen it, check it out.

it's so true. yeah, yeah, yeah....

When Brynn and I were in elementary school, we wrote a song called "Love is Like Lightning." It's a catchy lil tune. We used to sing it regularly with my karioke machine. Well, today I randomly started singing it and I was crackin up. The song makes no sense but I couldn't get it out of my head. If you would like to hear our song, you should ask Brynn to sing it. I can't get through the first line without laughing hysterically.

Seriously today was one of those days when the universe was against me. You've all had those days. Those days when everything that can possibly go wrong, does. Days like this are always better in hindsight. After all that 's happened today, I'm so grateful I was able to laugh about it with Brynn and my roommate. Today helped me realize that I really love who I am and I'm grateful for friends and family who appreciate all of my quirks. My communications teacher makes us say "I am a strong and worthy person" at the beginning of every class and it's true. Today I talked with a boy who said some pretty harsh things and I remebered those words. We are all strong and worthy and we all deserve to be treated with respect, no matter what.

Girls on this Island really are vicious.

A girl in my communications class is from Long Island...and if you know my family, you know we looooove Long Islanders. She was presenting her collage about herself to the class yesterday and she told us why there was a pic of some cops on her poster board. She said that she and her friends used to go to East Hamptons and shoot BB guns at all the BMWs lined up in the streets. Yowzaaa right? No worries, she never got caught, and she eventually joined the church. Moral of the story-If you live in East Hamptons, use the parking garage.

superbowl=superlame

The Superbowl was kind of a bore right? And the halftime show...mmmm not so awesome. I was really hoping Kelly Clarkson would perform, but much to my dismay, she was absent. During the Superbowl: I finished my collage for Communications, wrote some papers, painted my nails, read a magazine, talked with my roommates about lame guys, watched three youtube videos {snl single ladies is hilarious}, and made a grilled cheese sandwich. All in all it was a productive Sunday. Oh and the Steelers won. See, I even made time to watch some of it.
