farewell 2011...

it's been a whirlwind of a year for the trueblood family and we wouldn't have it any other way. marrying josh and welcoming our sweet baby gussy into the world made 2011 so dear to me. here's to a fantastic 2012!

josh gave the sweetest baby blessing on christmas morning and gus chit chatted the whole way through it. it was adorable. i love those two so much and i'm so blessed to be sealed to them for forever.

christmas this year was magical. gus made out like a bandit (natch) and it was so good to be surrounded by family. they're the best and they make each holiday so special.

our friend jessica wanted to test out her new photography equiptment, so gus volunteered to help a sister out. oh my, he was quite the model. i mean, look at that face...and those cheeks. to die for.

happy 2 months gussy!

i can't believe we've had this sweet boy for 2 months already! he's growing so fast (he's 11 lbs 9 oz now!) and learning new skills on the daily. gus has changed our lives for forever and we wouldn't have it any other way. he's funny and crazy and the best addition to our family.

that motherhood is the ultimate job. it's hard work and super exhausting, but also incredibly rewarding. did i mention it's hard work? moms are the real rockstars of the world.

40 weeks!!!

these last 40 weeks have been such a thrill. we're so glad gus is here with us already and we're so grateful for his sweet spirit he brings into our home. josh and i sure hit the jackpot with this beautiful boy.

when gus was born, our girl niki sent over an adorable blanket and bib for our favorite lil guy. it's our tummy time blanky and it must be super special because gus rolled over from his tummy to his back on it monday! way to go gus! thanks niki for the awesome blanky!

hubers was my first outing after having gus. it felt so good to get out and enjoy the perfect fall weather with my family.

39 weeks.

happy 39 weeks, gus! i can't believe you're almost 2 weeks old already. me and daddy love you more than anything! daddy always tells me how beautiful you are...and it's true. you're a total babe already.

gus really hit the jackpot when it comes to grandmas. i mean, hello, he gets georgia. she loves on him all day long, swaddles him just right, and thinks every single thing he does is adorable. gus is a lucky boy.

and i'm a lucky girl to have georgia as my mom. she is so giving, so kind, so hilarious, so sexy, so sassy and such a good momma trainer. she taught me everything i know. thanks mom for all you do for us. i want to be just like you.

this is my view these days. josh and i were talking last night and he said, "remember when you didn't show for forever and you were upset about it?" i take back that crazy talk. these days, you can tell from a plane that i'm pregnant. weird how that happens...

hello full term! i'm so antsy to meet this little one, but at the same time i'm so grateful for these last few weeks josh and i have together-just the two of us. most people wait a tits before they start makin babies, but that's just not how we roll. we're more like "hey, let's do everything at once and see if we survive!" and guess what?? we're doing awesome. pretty sure the Lord has blessed us a ton this past year. we've got a beautiful home (in da hood, but still), 2 working vehicles, a loving relationship, we're both healthy, and we have a baby boy on the way. does it get any better??
