26 weeks.

less than 100 days until we're a family of 3! i still think it's a girl, but now i also kinda think it might be a boy. yesterday, in target josh said "do you wanna just find out?" i think we're both super anxious to know for sure! either way, we can't wait to meet this little baby and kiss it all the live long day.

hawaiian bbq pulled chicken.

this was my first go at using my crockpot and i'm in love. crockpots make dinner a breeze. you just throw everthing in in the morning, turn it on, and it's ready at the end of the day. how perfect is that? i used this recipe from tasty kitchen and it was a hit at our house. even the leftovers the next day were fabulous. i served the pulled chicken with coleslaw, baked beans, and a slice of bread. ya know, cause i'm from the south.

definitely a winning dinner. yay crockpots!

zucchini bread & muffins.

tonight, josh came home from work with two large zucchinis. so obviously i had to make zucchini bread. it's sweet and hearty and perfect for breakfast, snack time, or dessert. that zucchini bread, it's so versatile. i used this recipe and it turned out perfect. since i only have one loaf pan, i did one loaf and 7 muffins. the muffins only took about 15-20 mins and the bread took a full hour. go grab yourself some zucchinis and make this stat!

25 weeks.

everything is going great for me and the babe. lots of big kicks and turns all day. i'm still feeling girl vibes, but we'll see in about 15 weeks! ahhh i can't believe we'll have a baby soon. i've been reading "husband coached childbirth" by dr. bradley and i love it. is it weird that i'm excited to go into labor? cause i am. i always loved hearing about my birth story from my mom and i can't wait to tell our little babe about his or her birth story someday.

this weekend josh and i got to visit two of our friends who just had babies. one girl and one boy. jeez louise, babies are the best things ever. they smell good, they feel good, their noices are precious. i am so excited for november 3rd!

a day with the mangums.

the mangums were on a cross country treck and luckily they passed right through my hood. and i do mean hood. it was such a treat to see them!

they even came bearing gifts! the teeny tiniest jar of nutella...

and all the baby clothes a mama could dream of (thanks to grammy and her mad thrifting skills)!

celebrating.

josh and i celebrated our six month anniversary on saturday night since he was out camping with the boy scouts on friday. i'm so glad he has fun camping, i just hate the smell afterwards. thank goodness for our lovely washer and dryer! oh also, i've decided i want to go camping. we have all the stuff (except camping chairs, but we're working on that) and i love smores so a camping trip is prob in the near future for the truebloods!

so back to friday...while josh was out enjoying the great outdoors, i was inside enjoying the great biebs. oh, and sipping on some mcdonalds diet coke. nothing says six month anniversary like some mickey d's. am i right? the justin bieber movie was soooo good. i've been wanting to see it for forever, but somehow it always got shot down when josh and i would choose a movie. weird how that happens. i'm so glad i finally saw it though because that boy is like a little musical genious! and just about as cute as they come. our little baby also enjoyed the movie because he/she was movin around like crazy. it's hard to contain yourself around the biebs, i should know.

6 months.

happy 6 month anniversary, josh! i couldn't ask for a better husband! you're sweet and hilarious and understanding and quick to forgive and sexy and smart and a really good dad already and good at complimenting me and really amzing. i love you!

i can't believe that when we celebrate our one year anniversary we'll have a baby! you're good at not wasting any time, huh?

24 weeks.

this week started off pretty rough. i had a bladder infection and a fever on monday, but thankfully my dr got me right in and made sure our babe was safe. he or she was kickin around like crazy when the dr put the monitor on me. thank goodness! i'm feeling much better today and i'm excited to work on our bathroom a bit this afternoon. it needs some tlc.

also, the trueblood household now has a washer and dryer! this is big news. thanks mom and dad! we love it and i'm constantly looking for things that need to be washed...baby clothes-check. bedding-check. scrubs-check. jeez, i love laundry.

georgia's greek salad.

i am in love with this pasta salad. my mom always made this for us in the summer when we were little and it's the best. it's healthy, simple, and it holds up super well. i made it for a ward party a few months ago and again yesterday. it hits the spot every time.

here's the recipe:

1 box of whole wheat short pasta

1 can of med olives (whole)

1 carton of cherry tomatoes (halved)
2 big cucumbers (cut in bite size chinks)

1 carton of mediteranean feta

italian dressing

ranch dressing

cook the pasta according to directions. drain and let cool. add all of the veggies, feta, and equal parts italian and ranch dressings. mix and refrigerate until ready to eat!

snickerdoodles.

josh and i are quite the baking duo. late last night, we whipped up these bad boys and they were amazing. the only suggestion i would give is to not press the dough balls down any to flatten them out. they flatten out perfectly in the oven. it was my first time making snickerdoodles, but i'll definitely be making them again!

oh and we made lots of snickerdoodle jokes that got dirty. let's just say at one point josh said, "you can snicker my doodle, just don't snicker at my doodle." haha

23 weeks.

i am so in love with this little baby of mine. every night, before josh and i go to bed, i put his hand on my stomach and wait for our little one to kick. it makes my day.

also, i'm pretty sure i'm having a girl.

rolo cookies.

i made these cookies on monday and they were delish! josh took most of them to work and apparently they were a hit. i don't wanna brag, but i'm kind of a rockstar at josh's work due to my incredible baking skills. bake these and you too can be a rockstar!

they turned out so moist and delicious.

josh was my assistant baker and he was such a stud. he unwrapped all the rolos and rolled the cookies in sugar. what a good husband!

4th of july weekend.

i love a long weekend and i love the 4th of july! we stayed busy all weekend long with: organizing my parents house for the move, setting up our spare bedroom for our little baby on the way, grilling out, baking new cookies, grad parties, and celebrating our country's independence! my handy husband and our new crib.

i love visiting my parents in columbus. it's full of fun activities to do and it's so nice to hang with my parents. they're the best and they know about all the cool places. i love the north market. lots of local vendors and yummy treats.

22 weeks and happy 4th of july weekend!

this baby is kickin like crazy lately and it makes me feel so good. josh and i were talking about baby bedding and names we like on our walk last night and it was so cool to think about us having a little baby in our home in just a few short months. oh, and on our walk we witnessed an intense verbal fight just down the street from us. please pray we find a new neighborhood to live in before this little one comes, k?
