superbowl saturday

The Superbowl is tomorrow {GO CARDINALS!} so Macey's had a ton of samples and games for our devoted shoppers. I was in charge of sampling dips and let me tell you what- people double dip! Sick. It's not the little kids you have to worry about, it's the old folks. Don't worry, whenever it happened I threw the dip away. Oh, and I was freezing at work, so I went to the front to get a Macey's jacket and they handed me one that was covered in hair and a size XXL. I thought I was gonna catch the Herp from it, so I just wore my Nebraska sweatshirt. Catching the Herp would really put a damper on my weekend.

Today, in my communications class, we talked about heroes {superheroes, not the show with my hott celeb crush Milo Venti-something}. I said my hero growing up was Alex Mac. She was awesome. The girl in front of me turned around and said "you look just like her." Honestly I could have cried I was so honored.

I love gofugyourself. seriously, it brings so much joy me each day. I especially loved this comment from them today in discussing Jess Simpson's high waisted jeans.

"See, this is why I always vote for flattering jeans. Forgiving pants = more sandwiches and far less agita from people squawking about the remainder of your minor holiday weight gain. Also, more sandwiches = much greater happiness. It's like one of the fundamental rules of basic math."

5. I got my bangs trimmed...don't worry I didn't do them myself. I just got shivers thinkin of that awful cut.

6. Passed out flyers for FHE tomorrow while toning my glutes {I went up and down about 324534646 flights of stairs}.

7. Made amazing cookies with Em

8. Watched Hairspray..."I wish everyday was Negro Day!"

9. Celebrated no pants day with Ryan's apartment.

10. Didn't have to work at all! ahhhh. love it.

So today in Relief Society...I feel like a mom when I say that...but anyways, today in Relief Society we talked about living a life of simplicity. The teacher asked, "what do you do to relax when life gets insanely hectic?" I raised my hand so I could discuss the healing powers of Chick-Fil-A {seriously, it's magical...ask my mom} but another girl answered first and talked about how she goes to the temple to clear her mind and recharge her battery. Well after that resoponse, I just put my hand down. Chick-Fil-A can't compete with that.

Today, me, Stacy, Amy, and Ashley went wedding dress shopping with Em. OMG it felt so surreal. I cannot believe lil em is getting married {May 1st, save the date}. K, let me tell you what. There are some horrendous wedding dresses out there...I mean really really sick ones. Em found some super cute ones though and she looked slammin in them. Seriously, she rocked them. I'm so excited for her wedding!
