26 weeks.

less than 100 days until we're a family of 3! i still think it's a girl, but now i also kinda think it might be a boy. yesterday, in target josh said "do you wanna just find out?" i think we're both super anxious to know for sure! either way, we can't wait to meet this little baby and kiss it all the live long day.

hawaiian bbq pulled chicken.

this was my first go at using my crockpot and i'm in love. crockpots make dinner a breeze. you just throw everthing in in the morning, turn it on, and it's ready at the end of the day. how perfect is that? i used this recipe from tasty kitchen and it was a hit at our house. even the leftovers the next day were fabulous. i served the pulled chicken with coleslaw, baked beans, and a slice of bread. ya know, cause i'm from the south.

definitely a winning dinner. yay crockpots!

zucchini bread & muffins.

tonight, josh came home from work with two large zucchinis. so obviously i had to make zucchini bread. it's sweet and hearty and perfect for breakfast, snack time, or dessert. that zucchini bread, it's so versatile. i used this recipe and it turned out perfect. since i only have one loaf pan, i did one loaf and 7 muffins. the muffins only took about 15-20 mins and the bread took a full hour. go grab yourself some zucchinis and make this stat!

25 weeks.

everything is going great for me and the babe. lots of big kicks and turns all day. i'm still feeling girl vibes, but we'll see in about 15 weeks! ahhh i can't believe we'll have a baby soon. i've been reading "husband coached childbirth" by dr. bradley and i love it. is it weird that i'm excited to go into labor? cause i am. i always loved hearing about my birth story from my mom and i can't wait to tell our little babe about his or her birth story someday.

this weekend josh and i got to visit two of our friends who just had babies. one girl and one boy. jeez louise, babies are the best things ever. they smell good, they feel good, their noices are precious. i am so excited for november 3rd!

a day with the mangums.

the mangums were on a cross country treck and luckily they passed right through my hood. and i do mean hood. it was such a treat to see them!

they even came bearing gifts! the teeny tiniest jar of nutella...

and all the baby clothes a mama could dream of (thanks to grammy and her mad thrifting skills)!

celebrating.

josh and i celebrated our six month anniversary on saturday night since he was out camping with the boy scouts on friday. i'm so glad he has fun camping, i just hate the smell afterwards. thank goodness for our lovely washer and dryer! oh also, i've decided i want to go camping. we have all the stuff (except camping chairs, but we're working on that) and i love smores so a camping trip is prob in the near future for the truebloods!

so back to friday...while josh was out enjoying the great outdoors, i was inside enjoying the great biebs. oh, and sipping on some mcdonalds diet coke. nothing says six month anniversary like some mickey d's. am i right? the justin bieber movie was soooo good. i've been wanting to see it for forever, but somehow it always got shot down when josh and i would choose a movie. weird how that happens. i'm so glad i finally saw it though because that boy is like a little musical genious! and just about as cute as they come. our little baby also enjoyed the movie because he/she was movin around like crazy. it's hard to contain yourself around the biebs, i should know.

6 months.

happy 6 month anniversary, josh! i couldn't ask for a better husband! you're sweet and hilarious and understanding and quick to forgive and sexy and smart and a really good dad already and good at complimenting me and really amzing. i love you!

i can't believe that when we celebrate our one year anniversary we'll have a baby! you're good at not wasting any time, huh?
