what a week.

christmas week was a-mazing....

we:

made lots of goodies

went caroling

watched UP, Runaway Bride, Forever Strong, and White Christmas

laughed hysterically

b & i taught nursery...i love cleaning crayons out of kids mouths. oh wait, no i don't.

worked it out at the YMCA...circuit class is brutal.

• i got 100% on my final over apostles and prophets
• b & i watched "the sing-off" on hulu. it's way good-go bubs!
• i only have one final left
• our fave fhe boy came over to hangout before we all leave
• i got the recipe for cafe rio salad dressing
• b & i started organizing our stuff for the move/vacation

one week...

today is the 1st day of hanukkah. we take great pride in our jewish noses.

christmas is getting so close! one week left of school...i think i can, i think i can. aaaand it looks like my wish for a school christmas party came true-my doctrine and covenants class (taught by bro. ferguson's brother) is having a party on wed! i'm bringing my delish peanut butter cookies and i'm so excited.

on another note, anyone watch the biggest loser finale? i only read about it, but i was so glad rebecca won the at home award- loved her. i'm alright with danny winning the whole thing, i mean he did look super good, so way to go losers!

the season finale was perfect. i loved it.

this semester has flown by! i can't believe i'm already preparing for finals (barf) and getting ready to check out of my apt and check into my new one (sooo excited).

what ever happened to end of the year parties? ya know like the good ol days when you'd bring cupcakes that your mom had made and eat with your classmates and talk about your plans for Christmas. i vote we bring back the parties and get rid of pesky finals. they're so gay, seriously.

brynn and i fly home in 12 days! watch out southern indiana! did i mention we leave at 5:30 am? i hope the people on our flight like rap and justin bieber. it's gonna be wild.

oh hey when did everyone start getting pregnant and engaged? i feel like i'm still 10 and everyone else is getting all big and grown up.

if you love pandora as much as me, you've gotta listen to ingrid michaelson radio. a-mazing. i also like carrie underwood radio...don't judge. country is kinda cute sometimes.

tonight, brynn and i went over to taylor's to watch the Christmas broadcast (i loved it) and make dinner & dessert (which was delishh). it really got me in the holiday spirit and made me think about how grateful i am for Christ's birth and all that he did and continues to do for me. i really have been so blessed. i love this time of year and i can't wait to see my cute fam in 2 weeks!

updates:

i'm still on thanksgiving break. YAHOO! seriously, im loving the break from school, homework, and idaho's frigid temps.

thanksgiving was amaze. the food was delish, the people were hilare, and the entertainment was adore. after we ate, we played with the luthi's grandkids (4 of the sweetest boys everrr) and then watched blue collar comedy. ha.

we also saw the jazz/bulls game last night! it was mine, taylor's, and brynn's first NBA experience and we had a ball. the bulls lost, but joakim noah was gorgeous.

in-n-out is in orem...nuff said.

glee continues to be my upper for the week. i love every song, every dance, and puck. he's so cute.

90210 is redic. why i continue to watch is a mystery. i hate hate hate naomi's sister and jasper.

i really love being with my family, even if it is just me, tay, and beezy.

brynn, kevin and i went to an open mic night to support our fhe bro, tyler. he was such a stud up there. jon peter lewis (from american idol) also performed tonight. kevin recognized him, so we went up to him and talked about his new cd. rexburg is like LA...full of celebrities. ok, maybe not.

winter.

it's nice and cold here in rexburg. i still can't believe i live in idaho. it's really nice though. i feel closer to mother nature here...that sounds lame, but i do. i like living in the middle of nowhere becasue it makes everywhere else feel like a big city. this weekend was great. brynn and i went grocery shopping, did laundry (which i love), kicked our butts at the gym, watched tay do a triathalon, ate at outback (it was A-amazing), ate ice cream in the car while it snowed, and watched 500 days of summer for the 4th time. too much? no way. i want to wear all of summer's clothes. and tom. my visiting teachers came over today and they were so cute. one week of school left until thanksgiving break! a whole week off from school...ahhhhh. what a treat. here's to a great week!

georgia's delicious hot chocolate recipe.

in a pan over medium heat, stir together 1/3 cup cocoa, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/3 cup milk (any kind you prefer-we use skim) until warm and well mixed. add 3 and 2/3 cups more milk to the mixture and mix for about 5 minutes. at the last minute add 1 tsp of vanilla. DE-LISH.

*best if served with homemade whipping cream.

i'm grateful for...

today, before my child development class, i watched Southern Belles: Louisville. it's embarassing, but it made me a little home sick. who knew that show could be so touching?

i could watch 500 days of summer 500 times. brynn and i are seein it for the 3rd time tonight. thanks a heap dollar theater for making our obsession so afordable.

i'm grateful...

for these studs who lead and guide our church. i love hearing their messages during conference and reading their talks in class. they always say exactly what i need to hear.

on saturday, me, tay, and beezy roadtripped down to salt lake to watch real salt lake play the columbus crew. they WON! it was such a fun game to watch. the fans were crazyyy and the weather was perfect. after the game, we partied it up with the mangums.

this weekend was nice. we didn't do too much, but i got to hang out with my favorite people so it was perfect. on saturday night, we went to big juds (ate a whole cow practically) and then watched guitars unplugged with taylor and his date. people are so talented it makes me sick. oh and on friday we went to target in idaho falls and let me tell you, they have the cutest clothes right now. living in the middle of nowhere makes target runs seem much more exciting.

this weekend taylor, brynn and i went to roy, ut to hang out with the grammy, papa, the luthi's and the mangum's. pretty much, i laughed hysterically for 2 days straight. my stomach feels like i did a million crunches, but i didn't-i played "boxers or briefs" with our crew and almost passed out from laughing so hard. it's my new favorite game. while in roy, we also... played with huge swords...
and sharp knives...
kicked it with dixie...
oh and tay forgot church shoes, so mark was so kind to let him try on his crocs. they were about 4 sizes too big. i love taylor in crocs.
he ended up just wearin his tennies. i preferred the crocs.

we had a blast hangin out at the luthi's. they are such good people. mark and tamera even sent us home with homemade jams, salsa (that tastes like heaven), a huge bottle of vanilla, and gorgeous earrings. seriously, it was like christmas. oh, and we now have the luthi's family cookbook. i guess it means we're officially part of the fam.
