pool time.

memorial day was the perfect day for lounging by the pool in my parent's neighborhood. it was sunny and hot. my two faves. we all got some color and got to show off our cute swimsuits (and my growing baby bump!). my kind of day.

emily k's wedding.

saturday afternoon, josh and i went to my junior high bff's wedding in downtown columbus. the church was beautiful and she looked absolutely gorgeous. it was such a sweet service.

last night, we all went to jenis, in columbus, after the college big 10 baseball finals. best ice cream in columbus. the flavors are so unique (josh got the queen city cayenne) and it's such a fun experience. they let you test taste all of their flavors. caution: do not get the bourbon butter pecan unless you really love bourbon. sorry baby truebie!

the line was out the door and around the corner. worth it.


i got a scoop of the milkiest chocolate and goat cheese with roasted red cherries (similar to cherry cheese cake). divine!

22.

today is my 22nd birthday! it's already been so perfect- i got a new pair of betsey johnson earrings from my wonderful husband, a chick-fil-a breakfast, an incredible homemade card from taylor and j, and sweet texts and phone calls throughout the day. 22 is going to be a lovely year.

i'm off to celebrate with my husband, sister, and parents in columbus. yay for being born so close to memorial day! have a great weekend!

yes, josh and i are watching the bachelorette. and yes, i am already addicted. what the bentley?! what's with these crazies from salt lake city? did you watch the season previews? it's about to get real.

playing house.

josh and i are house/babysitting for a family from church and it has been so precious to see josh with the 3 boys. it makes me so excited to see him with our little babe soon.

last night, the oldest boy got to choose what movie we watched (pink panther 2). why do they make sequels to awful movies?? anyways, the youngest was not having it. he was stompin around and crying (i felt for him...you think i wanted to watch that garbage?) but josh handled it all so well. he took him upstairs and had a little heart to heart with him and when grayson came back, he was his cute self again.

how did i get so lucky? i married the sweetest, most patient man ever. i can't wait to see our little family grow.

the best way to get out of a rut...

is to laugh. and to lay out in your sassiest swim suit. ya know, the one that doesn't really cover your growing boobs or buns. that one.

happy mother's day georgia. you're the best mom. you're always putting others in front of yourself and you make me feel so beautiful and loved (even when i'm not deserving of it). thanks for all you do for me, josh, and baby truebie, even. we're lucky to have you in our lives.

bubs burgers and ice cream.

two weeks ago, josh had a day off (which NEVER happens) so i took off work too and we headed to carmel, indiana for the famous bubs burgers and ice cream. man vs. food went there and it definitely did not disappoint. the burgers were juicy and the waffle fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned. if you're ever in the area, you've got to stop in. there's a million pictures covering the walls of people who've eaten "the big ugly" (a massive burger). there were lots of missionaries who had successfully done it. go missionaries!
seriously, so so so good.

i told josh i wanted to eat there every weekend. such a fun, friendly atmosphere and such good food! oh, and there ice cream is also amazing. go try it out!
