2010...

was a real gem. i went to byu-i and met some amazing friends, celebrated my 21st birthday in cin-city (not to be confused with vegas), fell in love, went to seattle to party at tay's wedding, got engaged, had the cutest house guests ever, decided to go back to school in jan, and became obsessed with the sing off.



2011 is going to fabulous as well. i watched the E! special on katy perry (love her) and decided to be bolder this year. ya know, do things that normally make me uncomfortable...like drugs. just joshin. speaking of josh-i'll be married to him in 15 days. say whaaaaat?!

-attempted to watch inception with the bf. i couldn't stay up past 10. i'm elderly, i know.

-opened a beautiful wedding present from my aunt

-found the perfect dress and shirt at jcrew. an extra 30% off clearance items and 15% off for being a student. don't mind if i do.

-attended the ross country jamboree. yes, i said jamboree and yes, it was life changing.

-jammed out to the band perry. i'm in love with them.

-taught the 5 and 6 yr old primary class. cutest kids ever.

-got down on some home-made tacos

-counted down the hours until b gets home....7!!!

and it's magical. last night me, georgia, and josh watched little women and you know what? i bawled my eyes out. josh said, "do you always cry this much during this movie?" what can i say, i love a good movie about strong women. and i'm a sucker for a young christian bale.

glee.

please tell me you guys have been jamming out to the glee christmas cd. it's seriously my fave cd of all time right now. last night, josh and i went to dinner and then drove around some beautiful neighborhoods checkin out their lights/ pretending we lived in them all while listening to the glee cd and you know what? it was magical. everything with josh is pretty perfect (awwww) but glee really takes it over the top. oh, also did you watch the glee christmas episode? did you cry? i did, but lately i cry at everything. i think you burn calories crying and heaven knows i could use that since i'm obsessed with ghiradelli's peppermint bark. please tell me you're familiar with it's festive goodness.

christmas is two weeks away and i couldn't be happier. shopping is definitely one of my hobbies and this year i've definitely found some fab gifts.

tomorrow i'm giving a talk in church about gifts we can give jesus during this christmas season and the year to come. it's been nice to ponder on that this week. everyone could use a nice jcrew sweater, but also maybe some kindness and charity, ya know?

my computer is officially dunzo. thank goodness for great parents with a great mac. and thank goodness for brothers who drop other people's laptops on the cement. hold up, scratch that last part.

2 weeks until christmas.

5 weeks until i'm married.

oh my goodness, i'm loving this season.

productive.

i've been pretty sick these past few days which has turned out to be a quite the blessing. i've online shopped for christmas presents...and maybe a sick present for myself. back in the day my mom would get us kids a "sick toy" when we were ill so i figured i'd keep the tradition going and buy my own. jcrew grey v-neck? don't mind if i do.

i've also been able to get all of my college transcripts sent to my new school. these is no easy feat when you've been to 232456 colleges, but i'm super excited to finish my associate degree soon. community college hollaaa.

i also had ample time to finish addressing wedding invitations and getting those mailed out. 3 stamps for one little square invitation? nonsense, really.

and today, i finished making my ornament wreath and decorating our christmas tree.

oh, and somehow i found time to see the obgyn and my reg doctor. can you believe they wouldn't let me see the pediatrician? i told them my height and they still wouldn't have it. being 21 has it's down falls.

7 weeks...

till i get to marry this scrub (josh, not ry). i'm on p's and n's.

grateful.

thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. i love that it's all about family, food (hollaaa), and being thankful for all we have. i am so blessed. i have an incredible family, sweet friends, a fabulous almost-husband, a job (that makes me want to finish my degree), a cute, little soon to be home, the gospel, and a temple close by. who could ask for anything more.

i really wanna lose 3 lbs.

name that movie. k, so here's the deal, i really DO wanna lose some weight (see cookie binge post). i'm gonna try to lose three pounds in the next two weeks. totally doable, right? right. i've been working out recently but my eating hasn't been fantastic, so i'm gonna really concentrate on making homemade meals and eating wayyy less desserts. curse my fab baking skills. i'll let y'all know how it goes. anyone wanna join me? or have any great workout/ healthy eating tips? share!

ok, so i'm getting married in like 3 months and i can't wait. i mean if there was a way to make january 15th come any sooner, i would do it. weddings are a tits stressful though. i get anxiety over dumb stuff and start acting like a b-word and my sweet boyfriend still calls me pretty and sweet. he's a keeper.

best concert ever.

josh and i made a day trip to st. louis on friday and it was great. we hung out at the arch, ate great food at the hill, and saw steel train and fun perform. they were seriously so good. josh and i loved every second of it. if you ever have the chance to check them out, do it. they both put on such fun shows that will have you dancing the whole time.

countdown to taylor's wedding....

one week. 7 short little days till we get another sister in the dalby fam and i couldn't be happier. i hear seattle is gorgeous and i'm all for a late summer vacation.

glee. september 21st couldn't come sooner.

i've been watching practically no tv, besides food network (naturally), and i think i'm ok with that. until glee comes back of course. who do you think i am?

i've been feeling this urge to be more domestic. i can clean and shop with the best of them but cooking? sewing? not so much. just you wait though, i smell some new talents just around the corner.

speaking of shopping. gap has got some adorable sailor shirts on sale. run don't walk. and abercrombie (judge me) has been amazing to me this summer. their jeans make my butt look redic and their shirts and sweaters are beautiful.

if you want to eat the best chocolate chip cookies ever, use the ghiradeli recipe. orgasmic. pretty sure i'm never going back to tollhouse.

catch-up

i'm loving having my whole family home for a few weeks. i always love indiana, but indiana with my crew makes me love it even more. today we were all sitting in church minus my adam and it just made me feel so good.

i'm officially a cincinnati reds fan. we all went to a game on saturday and i lost my voice from laughing/screaming the whole game. mlb is where it's at.

my new job is going great. i love working in a doctor's office. it's fast paced and i'm constantly on the go so the days fly by.

school starts in like 2 weeks. eek.

justin beiber has forever changed my life. i was running on the treadmill while jamming out to him and it made me want to run longer. yeah, only the powers of beiber could make that possible.

i got my hair cut a week ago. i hate how short my bangs are. my poor family prob hates me complaining about them. what can you do.

i love summer with my fam. it's real nice.

i'm grateful for...

summer obsessions.

summer is by far my favorite season. i love that it's so chill and there's always stuff to do. i'm currently obsessed with tie-dying (anything&everything) and swimming. seriously, i cannot get enough of these two things. if you're ever bored, grab some hanes v-necks and a tie-dying kit from wal-mart and brace yourself for a good, messy time. and then go jump in a pool because it cools you off while bronzing your skin. no one wants to be pasty mcgee.

i flew to arizona last week to see these two love birds tie the knot and it was fabulous. jess was my roommate in utah and she's one of my best friends. cam is a lucky guy to have her for eternity. jeez i love weddings.

• being obsessed with baking white choc macadamia nut cookies. they're so easy to make and they taste like buttery heaven. i die.
• getting ready for my girl, jess's wedding in july. i'm so excited for her and her boo.
• keeping busy with church callings. wednesday nights are now spent at the church. i feel like i'm 14 all over again.

twenty-one.

it's official. i'm legal! my mom and i celebrated the big day by heading to cin-city, natch. we shopped and laughed and jammed out to lots of 20 on 20 radio because who doesn't love 3oh!3 and ke$ha? i love that my mom is always down for a road trip and lots of shopping. she always finds the best stuff and never gets worn out....and if she does, she just downs a diet coke and she's good to go. such a fun trip. 21 is gonna be a good year.

seriously, this book has changed my life. i've struggled with my weight and an eating disorder for the past few years and this book really helped me to feel at peace with my body. read it. it's powerful. even oprah read it. can't compete with that now can ya?

today is mothers day so i thought i'd give a much deserved shout out to my fave mom, georgia. here's a few things i adore about her... 1. she's always there for me. no matter what i'm going through, she's there....the good and the bad.

2. she's always up for a good time. a shopping trip? disneyland? florida? she's down.

3. she always thinks of others' needs before her own. when we were growing up, my mom would always be making a family dinner or watching other people's kids. my mom is the perfect example of giving service.

4. she always looks good. georgia has the whitest teeth and the tannest skin. and she's skinny. what a babe. do i raid her closet frequently? yes, yes i do.

5. she tells the best stories. whenever we go on road trips, we always ask to hear stories about when we were little and my mom always tells the best ones. we were cute kids.

6. homegirl can cook. my grandma is such a good cook and my mom def got that gene. she makes the best dinners and desserts.

7. she's got the best laugh around. you've prob heard it if you live anywhere in the us. i got the laugh gene fa sho.

8. she's real. if i'm doing something dumb, she says so. if i'm doing something great, she compliments me. i like that she can say what she thinks.

9. she's one of my best friends. i love hanging out with her and talking to her about my day.

10. i really did hit the jackpot with georgia. i don't think anyone else could handle me as well as she does. she's the best mom and i really do love and appreciate all she has does. HAPPY M-DAY MRS. D =]

dillan panthers.

the new season of friday night lights kicks off tomorrow. see what i did there? i've been catching up on last season all week. i sure love me some dillan football players. tim riggins and matt sarasen? yes, please.

lemon juice.

k, so this one time at camp i put toothpaste on brynn's face while she was sleeping and when she woke up in the middle of the night she said, "my eyes are burning!" it was so funny and we still say that to this day even when are eyes are completely fine. well saturday at work some guy asked me to put lots of lemons in his sweet tea, and as i was putting his lemons in the cup, one squirted me right in the eye. i wanted to scream a stream of profanities, but instead i just cried and ran to the bathroom to rinse out my bloodshot eye. i def could've used one of those eye cleaning stations they always have in science classrooms. lemon juice to the eye was more painful than having my tonsils out and my mom says having your tonsils out is worse than giving birth so lemon juice in the eye is in fact more painful than giving birth. having a baby will be a piece of cake now.

it's derby time in the 'ville. which pretty much means if you're a d-list celeb you show up and get your picture taken in a redic hat. oh louisville...

dvr is practically my boyfriend.

is over :( sad day, huh? this semester has been so much fun and i've definitely learned a lot about myself. i'm excited for summer, but i'll def miss my idaho crew. seriously, funniest people you'll ever meet.
