summer stuff.

I put june in one of my old dresses and gus called her princess anna all day. so pretty!
a little morning ride in the backyard one chilly morning.

gus is always doing "scary faces" and this is the one june always pulls. freaky!

 gus just living the life.

dress ups are really popular around here, even though in this pic they look like they could care less.

just some pictures of life lately...

gussy got stitches in april while in ohio. he was such a trooper, but my dad felt so bad about it (since he was playing with him and june at the park). gus loved his stitches and still talks about them all the time. "park, hurt, stitches, papa, hurts."

suuuch a little cutie.

this face makes me scared for 13 year old june...eek!

easter.

easter egg hunt in the backyard before church. Indiana is so green and perfect in the spring.

 the easter bunny came!

gus taught june how to open the eggs. candy!

 "dang, who's that fly girl??"

I loved celebrating easter with our little family. I know that Jesus lives and that He died for me and you and because of that blessing, I can be with my family forever. The gospel of Jesus Christ is what makes this life even sweeter. It softens the heartaches that occur and lifts me up when I fall short. Jesus is my older brother and friend.

all day on easter, gus told everyone "happy easter!" in his sweet little voice. he still says it a lot, even 2 months later. what can we say, we love easter!

june turns 1!

our baby girl turned the big 0-1 back in april and it was such a fun day. she got to open presents from grandparents and us, eat her birthday dinner at culvers, eat texas sheet cake for dessert, and got hugs and kisses out the wazoo from all her favorite people. we sure love our spunky, sweet, sassy junie.

and now at 14 months old, she's walking, talking up a storm (mama, dada, papa, gigi, ball, no), and throwing tantrums like a 2 year old. and recently she got her ears pierced which just makes her even more adorable than before. we're big june fans over here (although the tantrums could simmer down a bit).

winter happenings//

taking a family picture was hilarious. gus would not smile to save his life. it's not easy being a hipster two year old.

cousin time with our newest one, walt.

 me and my girl.

taylor and brynn. I never see them enough throughout the year.

 gigi and papa time.

my biggest helper. he's a cookie dough addict. welcome to the club, gussy.

 perfecting the baggy beanie look.

june can do no wrong in my eyes. having a two year old helps me see just how sweet babies are. love you, gus ;)

josh is in full time school/work/scout master/second job mode right now so we're all a little overwhelmed and anxious, but we sure are grateful for two healthy kids who keep us on our toes and help us remember what's truly important. I really love being a mom and a wife. i'm so grateful that josh is supportive of all I do. he is my biggest fan and I would do anything for him. we've been married for three years today! cheers to another hundred more!

Christmas// 2013

Christmas in Columbus was wonderful...and stressful, but mostly wonderful. We had a house full of our favorite people and the best food. It was so fun to see Gus and June play with their little presents and stockings Christmas morning. I love being a mom. Gigi and Papa got them some perfect gifts as well. We've got books out the wazoo!  Thanks for hosting such a fun week you two!

Juuuune, you're killing me.

Check out those nightgowns! Who knew you could be so cozy and sexy at the same time??

The kids looking adorable and sleepy Christmas Sunday.
