Em put a bunch of old pics from my mom's camera on my computer, so I decided to do a shout out to Lola {the puggle that we had for 10 days}. She was sooo cute....and smelly. Good times. Lesson learned-We are still not ready for a dog.

two of my most favorite things

my two favorite things about living in Utah are:
1. Temple Square
2. Cafe Rio
Last night, I went with some friends from work and their branch to see the lights at Temple Square. On the way up there, we all met at Cafe Rio and their Bishop bought us dinner. It was delish. The lights at Temple Square were soooo incredibly beautiful and I felt a surge of peace and comfort come over me that helped calm my troubled lil heart. There's nothing like being with great friends who make you laugh till it hurts at the temple. It was a stellar night and i'm so grateful I was able to experience the beauty of it all. I really do love that place.

supersalad

So Em picked me up from my work mtg tonight and she saw Ryan's car so we went on a search for him in Maceys. After yelling his name in the store a few times {and getting all the other ryans' attention} we found him and can I just say how great it made my night. Poor Ryno dried his pants so they shrunk....or maybe he's just ready for the flood. hahahahahahahha

fab fam

Honestly, I'm so incredibly grateful for the family I have. Thanks for the laughs, the prayers, and the kind words tonight. I love you guys!

Christmas Broadcast

I loved loved loved the First Presidency's Christmas Broadcast tonight. Their messages were so beautiful and they reminded me of the reason for the season. I'm so grateful for the humble birth of Jesus and the example he is to me. He is my savior and my dearest friend and I don't know how I would get through this life and all of its trials without him guiding me along.

Dear Em

I miss you. I know you're gonna be havin loads of fun out in warm Arizona this week, but I really wish you were here so you could braid my hair to the side and watch Never Been Kissed. When you get back we are totally hittin up J-Dawgs {I STILL can't believe y'all went without me....} and watching Never Been Kissed.

Love,
Your favorite older younger sister

Monday, November 24, 2008

it's RUFUS, spread it around like wildfire

And I would just like to say that the burning sensation is completely natural.
we are verrrry artistic.

speed got intense.

Yesterday, em and I made cookies, played speed, and watched Never Been Kissed{the greatest movie ever}. We pretty much know every word and we were laughing hysterically the whole time. I can't even explain how amazing it is to live a hop, skip, and a jump away from em. She is such a good older sister...she even let me eat her leftover chicken chili{which btw was insanly delicious}. Oh, and em brought up the time that I offered to take that sling off the old lady in the nursing home when we went to visit Ruth....and em laughed until she cried. I was just trying to help. I had no intentions of harming the elderly woman.... just thought I'd set the record straight on that one.

So now I think I've found my new guilty pleasure. Hello Gossip Girl.

who's that spartan in my tp?

its the little things, like quoting spartan cheers at work with your boss, that make the day a little better.

Friday, November 7, 2008

em, look at the little gem I found!

So last night, Blaine and I stopped by em's house to give her the keys to my car (and eat some fantastic chocolate cake). While we were there, the topic of our beloved donut sticks came up. No one else knew about the rock hard, barely edible sticks of dough. We used to love eating these back in the day. Em and I especially enjoyed dipping them in milk so they weren't so rock-like. I see lil Debbie liked dipping hers in coffee. Yuck.

Thursday, November 6, 2008

today, im missin these guys

I was drinking a cup of hot chocolate yesterday when I was paying my rent and I thought,
"mmmm ho-cho."

ever, ever after....

Blaine and I watched Enchanted last night and now I have all the songs stuck in my head...and I love it.

hey snow hey!

Tuesday night and yesterday morning it snowed....now usually i'm not so fond of the cold...actually, I hate it, but the snow looked so pretty when I looked out my window in the morning. PLUS I have a sweet coat and hat to wear to keep me warm now, so I think me and cold weather's tumultuous relationship is on the mend.

sidenote-Congrats to Obama on being Prez of the United States of America!

Brynny Pop

white trash prom picture. classy.

remember when I used to make you say that? hahahaha. So my sister Brynn is by far the craziest girl ever. She will say anything, anywhere, in front of anyone without any hesitation. I love it. She has always been my best friend because she can make me laugh till I cry. One time she made me laugh so hard in the car that I threw up all over our leftovers from Logan's. I know everyone was not happy about that. Sorry em for ruining your steak. Seriously, eveyone in the world needs to know this girl. Brynn catapolts people out of their comfort zones and has taught me to not care about what people think. One time we were walking through the mall and Brynn was talking really...i mean really loundly about penisis( is that how you spell the plural of penis?? i dunno, i dont have one) and vaginas. Anyone that knows my family knows we do not talk in "quiet voice." I was like "Brynn, don't say that so loud, poeple are looking at us weird." And Brynn said, "We don't know any of these people!" Sooooo true. I'll never see those people again so who cares if they flip out about hearing those words in the food court? I love Brynn. I love that she still calls me and leaves me the greatest voice mails ever...well besides em's 7 hour voicemails. I love that she loves Hotrod and Juno as much as I do. I love that she has the greatest style. I love that we can make up songs about Aunt Jamimas syrup....i just laughed out loud thinking about that song. I love that she can harlem shake like the best of them. I love that she loves to laugh. I love that I can tell her anything. I love that she is visiting in March. I love that she knows the words to every song. Most of all I love that she's my sister.

a much needed shout-out

I feel the need to give a shout out to my best friend, karen. She rocks. We met in eighth grade and she has been making me laugh ever since. We used to get in trouble for talking and laughing too much by our Theater Arts teacher like everyday. She hated us. It's cool though, cause we didnt like her too much either. Karen is seriously the funniest person ever and she's crazy smart and down to earth...I mean what's not to love about her? Oh and she's a really good listener and gives great advice. It's also a plus that she reads my blog and uses my old lady phrases. Different stokes for different folks. Hey karen, remember when we used to always look at that one picture from the theater arts book of that awkward kid giving a thumbs up and laugh hysterically? Thanks for being sooooo hilarious and such a b.a friend. I can't wait to come to see you in Austin! The dalbys love you!
P.S. mike says thanks for encouraging me to say the "D" word.

a few things that made me happy

So far this week has been great. A few things have made it super fresh...

1. Talking to Ryan and Emily about super salads...I can laugh for a good 5 minutes about that story.

2. I was walking up the stairs yesterday at school and the kid in front of me tripped and then started running the rest of the way to play it off....i sooo wanted to say "YOU TRIPPED!" It just takes one good trip to suck the coolness right out of you...

3. When Blaine and I were coat shopping at the GAP, he saw a blazer hangin up and said in this cute lil voice, "hey lil buddy..what are you doin all the way over here?" He sounded exactly like Brynn...totally adorable.

4. I found the hexagon picture that me, em and brynn took this summer on my computer...so classy.

5. Me and em practicing a happy birthday song for my dad in the car. It was like a lil choir practice....we even ran through it a couple of times. We take birthdays very seriously.

united we rock....

divided we roll...Taylor wrote that at the end of his e-mail to us this week and I thought it was sooo true. I have the greatest family in the world and when we all work together and do whats right, we are the bomb dot com. I would just like to say that I am incredibly grateful for everyone in my family...and even those that might be joining in the near future ; ) Y'all are all awesome and I would not be who I am without each and every one of you. I love you guys to pieces!
